Gerald Feola

BiographyGerald Feola served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) with carrier airborne early warning squadron VAW-33 during the ship’s second Vietnam War deployment from March to December 1967. He was an aviation structural mechanic third class, AMS3. Feola flew on EA-1F Skyraiders as a member of the air crew. He operated electronic countermeasures equipment.

Feola is from Staten Island, New York. After separating from the Navy, Feola became a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department, where he served for 28 years. Feola volunteers at the Intrepid Museum. He has been interviewed for the Museum's oral history project (see OHP.002 and OHP.158).
