Report, Administrative; Administrative Remarks, May 24, 1962. "USS Intrepid (CVS-11) = Project Mercury Assignment 24 May 1962." The page has two blue and white photograph; one of astronaut Scott Carpenter arriving on Intrepid from space, and the other is of Intrepid at sea. Over the photographs is a summary of the project by J.L. Abbot, Jr., Intrepid's Commanding Officer at the time.
