DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Vertical image of man with back to camera watching a Douglas A-4C Skyhawk land on the aft end of the flight deck. The man is wearing a long sleeved shirt with illegible print on his back. The sleeves are rolled up to his elbows. He holds binoculars in proper right hand. Gauges and lights are on the deck in front of him. Markings on plane read “201” on the nose and “AK” on the vertical tail fin. The tailhook and landing gear on the airplane are down. In the background are clouds in the sky and ripples on surface of the ocean.The back has "Released // if published credit // must be given as follows // "Official Photograph // U.S. Navy"" stamped in black ink.
