DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white;Official horizontal image of five Douglas A-4C Skyhawks from squadron VA-34 in flight in formation. Bureau numbers on the aircraft are "4900," "4899," "4895," "4885," and "4894." Modex numbers on the planes are "305," "304," "303,"310," and "302." All aircraft have "VA-34" on the tail fin. The tail code AC is for Carrier Air Wing 3. This would be changed to AK, Carrier Air Wing 10, before deployment with USS Intrepid to the Vietnam combat area in May 1967. The sea below the planes is calm and there are clouds in the sky. There is a white border around the image.Back has "USS Intrepid CVS-11 // Squadron VA-34 of CVS-11 flying formation" handwritten in blue ink.
