DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal official image of USS Intrepid’s second division on the flight deck, in front of the island. The men are arranged in four rows, with the back two rows standing and the front two rows kneeling and sitting. The men are wearing dungarees and white enlisted hats, also known as Dixie cups. Two men stand on the back right side and are wearing officer's uniforms and caps. All of the men have light skin. The scoreboard can be seen on the island behind the men. There is a white border around the image. There is a handwritten inscription in black ink that reads “May 1945 2nd Division” in the bottom center of the border. The back has a black stamp that reads “Released for crew // not for publication” in the bottom right corner.
