DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal square image of a Douglas A-4C Skyhawk in flight above Intrepid's flight deck. The A-4C apparently missed the landing wires (called a bolter) and is departing from the angled portion of the flight deck. Identification numbers on the aircraft include "AK // 2742" on the tail and "302" on the nose. The sea is calm and the sky is cloudy.Donor note reads "Medical Department // U.S.S. Intrepid CVS-11 // A-4 boldering" in black and blue ink.
