DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal square image of a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk taking off from Intrepid's flight deck. The tails and folded wings of two F-8C Crusaders of VF-111 are visible on the flight deck with the identifications "AH". The AH designation was from a previous deployment of VF-111 on USS Oriskany (CVA-34), the aF-8s would be repainted with AK (Carrier Air Wing 10) shortly after this phot was taken. The sea is calm and the sky is blue with some clouds. There is a white border around the image.Donor note reads "Medical Department // U.S.S. Intrepid CVS-11 // And again" in black and blue ink.
