DescriptionBar, Ribbon; Single ribbon bar for the Navy Commendation Medal (later renamed Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal). The ribbon is dark green with a narrow stripe of white near either edge. The fabric is covered with plastic. The ribbon bar has a metal clasp pin closure on either end.
