DescriptionRibbon Bar; Ribbon bar with three ribbons: the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. The Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal is on the proper right side and is green with a white stripe near either edge and a Combat Distinguishing Device (Bronze letter “V”) (upside down) in the center. The Navy Good Conduct Medal is in the center and is red. The World War II Victory Medal is on the proper left side and has a center red stripe with rainbow stripes on either side. The ribbon bar has a brooch back bar pin and paper inserts with the names of the awards between the metal and fabric. The Combat Distinguishing Device (Bronze letter “V”) is facing upside down because the ribbon bar was originally displayed in a shadow box in the opposite direction with the World War II Victory Medal first. However, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal is the higher award and should be first, displayed closest to the proper right side.
