DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal, official image of crew members during a Passover Seder on board USS Intrepid. This meal is taking place in the ship's library. The men are seated around a long table. Most of the men are enlisted men in various uniforms, with an officer seated at the head of the table. The men have light skin and medium to dark hair. There are candlesticks, bowls of apples and oranges, and plates of matzos in the center of the table. Each man has a plate, bowl and cup of wine in front of him. Also in front of each man is a Haggadah, or Passover prayer book. The library has shelves and cabinets with books. There is a white border around the image. Caption on back reads: "Seder aboard // Intrepid 1945 // Leonard J. Lasky".
