DescriptionLog, Flight; Aviator's Flight Log Book, inside cover has “Harry A. Repass A.R.M.C. 2/C // Bombing Squadron Six // Naval Air Corps." handwritten in black ink.The log begins in May 1943 and ends in November 1944. Each month has two pages with log entries. Repass flew off the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6) before USS Intrepid (CV-11). Most of the log is unused and blank. Pasted in the book on a blank page is a typed excerpt titled "Long Entry" and is a recommendation for Repass to receive the Air Medal for his participation in "2 flights over Makin Island 19-22 // November 1943. 1 flight over // Kwajalein Atoll 4 December 1943, 1 // flights over Roi and Namur Islands // 29-31 January 1944, 1 February 1944 // and 1 flights over Truk 16 Feb- // ruary 1944." from D.B. Ingerslews, LtCdr., U.S. N, Commanding VB-6.
Inserted within the book were several paper items: a list of song lyrics, an Imperial Domain of the Golden Dragon membership card, and a newspaper clipping about the aircraft carrier Enterprise. These items have been photographed where they were found, removed, and placed in a folder.
