DescriptionEarring; Single brass hoop earring with a four leaf clover dangling at the center of a ring. The earring has a kidney wire backing with a ball at the end. Originally stored within an envelope with a donor note that reads “Anne (crossed out) Ricky // This is another clipping of your dads // at the end of the war and the earring // with 4-leaf clover – all the guys on the ship // pierced their ears and wore it for their // special battle of ‘Truk’, Island in the South Pacific // theatre of the war” written in blue ink.
