DescriptionBed, Bunk; Partial rectangular khaki bunk canvas with sailor art associated with squadron VAW-33. Graffiti on the front includes a drawing of a Douglas AD-5W Skyraider in flight with pilots visible numbered 829, bureau number “139403”, and “The fantastic // VAW 33”, “Ta da!”, “Poetry // in motion” pointing to a bomb, and “A threat to invasion? // sure, don’t it look it?” Other graffiti includes “PT // here”, “Jack”, “Aug. ‘63”, “Det. 11, VAW 33 // Home of the ‘Down with // the queens, hail guppys // association.’”, and a stars drawing written in black ink. The back has “Sux // Pete” and other illegible or bled through graffiti written in blue and black ink. There are metal grommets around three edges of the fragment.
