DescriptionSlide, Color; Square image looking down from the island on a McDonnell DouglasF-4 Phantom II taxing down the flight deck of USS Intrepid. The plane has been painted or tagged by the crew members of Intrepid after it landed on the wrong ship. The plane is from VF-161 on the USS Coral Sea. Graffiti includes “Fly 3”, “VA-145”, “VA-34”, “ADJ-3”, “HC-2 Det”, “Mar-Det // V-1 Div.”, and the blue blaster’s logo is on the side. A crew member in a green jersey is walking next to the plane. The water off the ship is calm. There are small black discolorations throughout the image and two fingerprint smudges in the upper left.Slide mount has “Ektachrome” printed twice in blue on one side.
