DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white. Official vertical image of USS Intrepid's executive officers framed on a wooden board and decorated with rope and "Intrepid's // Executive Officers" painted in black. There are seven humorous portrait photographs of officers arranged in three rows. All officers are in partial uniforms and make faces at the camera. The top row has a photo and label of "Cdr. H. Strong Jr. // USS Intrepid" and he is frowning at the camera. The second row has photos of "LCDR L. Koett // VF-162" who is playing a guitar; "LCDR W.F. Foster // VA-76," who is reading a Playboy magazine; and "LCDR J.T. Peddy // VA-66," who is wearing a baseball hat and leather jacket. The third row has photos of "LCDR L.B. Stephens // VF-33," who is holding his combination cap; "LCDR J.P. Gartland // VA-65," who is holding cardboard VA-65 air wings and a sword; and "2nd LT J.H. Tumlinson // Mar. Det." who is wearing a helmet with a gun belt over his shoulder and holds a cigar in his mouth. All of the officers have light skin.
