DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal photograph of the OA Division on USS Intrepid's flight deck. This division was also known as aerology, and it handled meteorology or weather forecasts. There are three rows of sailors in dress white uniforms and white "Dixie cup" hats. The back row has ten sailors who are standing, the middle row has five sailors who are crouching, and there are two officers crouching in the front row. All of the men have light skin. The ocean behind them is calm, and there are few clouds in the sky.
