DescriptionMedal; Bronze U.S. Navy Hospital Corps School medal awarded to Richard Burton Church. The coin has one side with a raised braided rope design around the exterior edge. In the center is a caduceus, an image often used as a medical symbol that depicts two serpents encircling a staff with outstretched wings at the top. Raised text around the center design reads “United States Navy // Hospital Corps. School // Great Lakes”. The opposite side also has a raised braided rope design around the exterior edge and a laurel wreath within. In the center of the wreath engraved text reads “Academic award // R.B. Church // Co. 43”.On View
