DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal square image of an aircraft landing on Intrepid's flight deck. The image is taken from the island and there is an American flag flying from the island. There are several other aircraft parked on the flight deck which include Douglas A-4 Skyhawks and Vought F-8 Crusaders. Identifications on the parked aircraft include "401," "AH," "20," "16," "AK// 146856 // Navy // VFP," and "403." The sea around the ship is calm and the sky is hazy. There is a white border around the image.Donor note reads "Medical Department // U.S.S. Intrepid CVS-11 // Another one left // behind" in black and blue ink.
