DescriptionMug; Small cream-colored ceramic mug with small finger handle on one side. The base is circular and tapers inward; it looks like a saucer before widening back out to the rim. The base and top rim are edged with gold enamel. One face of the cup depicts a colored squadron insignia design. A yellow circle outlined in black depicts a helicopter rotor in the center, which bisects the image into four quadrants. Clockwise the images depicted are as follows: a blue and white globe encircled by an orange banner with three white four-pointed stars; a gray hand holding a black missile with an orange tip; a black stylized image of a submarine; and a black sphere with radiating half circles likely depicting sonar. Below the circle is a blue banner that reads "Helasron-3" in yellow text. Below the insignia is black script that reads "Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 3". On the opposite face is black script that reads "George Konow" with the naval aviator wings insignia design. The wings depicts gold outstretched eagle wings with a fouled anchor in the center. Superimposed is a shield with a blue top and red and white vertical stripes. The bottom has an imprint in the ceramic that reads "U.S.A.", and a gold embossed stamp that has a shield and banner design with text that reads "Balfour // Battleboro // Mass. // Made in U.S.A."
