George A. Konow

BiographyGeorge Konow served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves from January 1955 until November 1958. He then served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from November 1958 until December 1963. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) from April 1962 until December 1963 as a lieutenant junior grade with helicopter anti-submarine squadron HS-3. He was a helicopter pilot. Konow is involved with the USS Intrepid Association and was interviewed for the Museum's oral history collection (OHP.010).
