DescriptionPatch, Insignia; Circular painted leather insignia patch for Fighting Squadron 18 (VF-18). The patch is painted on an irregularly-shaped square piece of leather that is painted black. The insignia depicts a red devil figure from the chest up, with red, orange and yellow flames on the bottom half. The devil has one finger pointed to his mouth and a mischievous grin. The devil has pointed ears, a central point on its head and two horns. There is an orange and yellow halo above its head. The patch has a teal background. The nickname for this squadron insignia was "The Fickle Finger."
