DescriptionPrint, Art; Horizontal framed print of USS Intrepid at sea. The blue, gray and white print image was originally drawn in pen. It depicts the starboard side of Intrepid with an airplane taking off from the flight deck. Gray text that reads "CV-11" is visible on the side of the ship. The sky is stormy and the water is choppy. At the bottom of the print is a black rectangular border containing text that reads "Large Aircraft Carrier - World War II". There is a white border around the print. Text printed in black ink at the top center of the border reads "Edward E. Howard // F1/C USNR // USS Intrepid". Text printed in black ink at the bottom left of the white border reads "Copyright 1944, Will Cressy. All rights reserved." The print is glazed with a sheet of acrylic. The frame, which resembles a tray, has two removeable handles and four dowel pegs that slot into two holes on either side of the frame. The frame has a felt backing with two screws and a string cord for mounting. On View
