DescriptionPhotograph, Color; Personal, square image of two flight deck personnel refueling a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk on the flight deck of USS Intrepid. The men have light skin and are wearing dungarees, purple flight deck jerseys and vests, red safety helmets, goggles and earmuffs. One of the men is under the plane refueling the aircraft. His purple vest is hanging from the airplane. The other is walking away from the aircraft. The legs of a third man are visible standing on the air intake. The airplane is from attack squadron VA-34 and a ladder is attached to the aircraft leading up to the cockpit. There is a white border around the image and the right edge is stamped, “May 68”.On View
