Errol Kellum

BiographyErrol Kellum, from Baltimore, Maryland, served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) from 1966 to 1968 as radarman third class (RD3). He worked in the combat information center (CIC), plotting the positions of aircraft and ships. Kellum served in the Navy in 1966 to 1969. He mentioned that he was one of relatively few Black crew members on board Intrepid. The Museum interviewed Kellum for our oral history collection in 2016 (see OHP.098).
