DescriptionSlide, Color; Personal, horizontal image the back of a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom. The plane is from VF-161 and is bureau number, “150634”. “ARRESTING GEAR” is stenciled on one of the wing flaps. The Chargers logo is visible on the vertical stabilizer. Both the cockpits are open. The plane landed on Intrepid from another carrier and is about to be covered in graffiti by the various divisions and squadrons of Intrepid.The plane is on the forward section of the deck and the island is visible on the left. A Grumman E-1B Tracer is under the island and a Kaman UH 2B Sea Sprite is on the port side of the ship.Slide mount has “Made in USA US Pat. No. 3,013,354” printed in yellow at the top of the slide; “26” and “Dec 67R1” printed in red on one side. “Ektachrome // Transparency // Processed by Kodak” printed in blue on the other side.
