DescriptionSlide, Color; Personal, horizontal image of aircraft parked on the aft end of the flight deck. AMcDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom from VF-161 is on the starboard aircraft elevator. The plane landed on Intrepid from another carrier and has been covered in graffiti by the various divisions and squadrons of Intrepid. Also on the starboard side of the deck is the tail of a Vought F8U-1P Crusader from VFP-63. The photograph was taken looking aft from the starboard side of the island. Skyhawk are parked on the center of the deck. The open water is calm and the sky is clear.Slide mount has “Made in USA US Pat. No. 3,013,354” printed in yellow at the top of the slide; “29” and “Dec 67R1” printed in red on one side. “Ektachrome // Transparency // Processed by Kodak” printed in blue on the other side.
