DescriptionCalipers; Silver outside caliper tool in the shape of an oval, bolted at one end with arms on top and bottom that meet at a small point. Imprinted text on the top arm reads“Fred J Hunter USS Intrepid 1968” and “A Div Diesels” on the bottom arm.

The calipers were handmade on Intrepid in the machine shop and diesel backup generator using aluminum aircraft sheet and the bolt is an aircraft fastener.
