DescriptionHelmet, Aviator's; U.S. Navy canvas bright red flight deck cap. A short tab with a metal buckle attached extends down from the proper left side of the cap. The proper right side of the cap has a long chinstrap extending down from the ear. Attached over top of the chinstrap is a long thin strap with ten holes lined with metal washers to attach to the buckle. A black stamp on the underside of the back of the cap reads “Stock No (R) 37-H-711-155 // Cont. No. N288s – 13048 SIZE // Gerber Mfg Co. // Mishawaka, Ind. // 7 ¼.”On View
