DescriptionHelmet, Aviator's; U.S. Navy dark red canvas flight deck cap. There is a black stencil at the center forehead that reads “V2.” A short tab with a metal buckle attached extends down from the proper left side of the cap. The proper right side of the cap has a long chinstrap extending down from the ear. Attached over top of the chinstrap is a long thin strap with ten holes lined with metal washers to attach to the buckle. There is a black stamp that reads “USN” on the buckle tab.
