DescriptionHelmet, Military; U.S. Military M1 helmet (a) with detachable hard liner (b).Olive drab helmet (a) with green fabric straps attached by metal hooks on either side. The proper right strap is the longer of the two; the end has been secured with a black metal adjustment piece to create a loop with a flat metal hook at the end. The proper left strap is shorter with a black metal hook attached to the center. The interior of the helmet has alternating light and dark brown stripes with small dots.
Olive drab hard liner (b) of helmet has green fabric straps attached to the interior to create head support at the crown and front and back of head. The strap around the brim is covered with brown leather. There is a brown leather chin strap that is attached to either side of the interior.
