DescriptionMedal; American Campaign Medal. The front of the circular bronze medal depicts in stark relief a U.S. Navy cruiser, a B-24 bomber and an enemy submarine sinking into waves. There are buildings in the background. The inscription at the top reads “American Campaign” in raised lettering. The back depicts an eagle standing on a rock, with raised text that reads “1941 // 1945” on the left and “United // States of // America” on the right. The ribbon is predominantly light blue with dark blue, white and red stripes at center and white, black, red, and white stripes at the left and right sides. It has a brooch back bar pin. The pin bar has “LI-GI” engraved in the center.On View
