DescriptionMedal; Philippine Liberation Medal. The medal is gold with a center shield flanked by gold arched wings on either side. The shield has vertical stripes of blue, white and red enamel. At the center of the shield is a gold sword, point up, superimposed over the white enamel stripe. The top of the shield is white enamel with three gold stars and a raised gold inscription that reads “Liberty”. The back of the medal is gold and has a raised inscription that reads: “For The // Liberation // Of The // Philippines”. The ribbon is predominantly red with blue and white center stripes and a brooch back bar pin. The interior of the ribbon is lined with a thin, clear plastic liner.On View
