DescriptionSign; Square wooden sign used for performances of USS Intrepid’s band. The sign has hand-painted lettering in red, blue with white outlines, and yellow. The inscription reads “Intrepid // Sea Notes // Best band // in the // 7th fleet”. Black musical notes have been painted on the top and outer edges. A gold and black treble clef is painted on the bottom left and a gold and black lyre is painted on the bottom right. A red faded stamp on the center back left edge reads “Fort vanply(?) // EXT-DFPA”.On View
