DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of a crew member singing into a microphone with the USS Intrepid band playing behind him. The band is playing on the forward aircraft elevator (no. 1 elevator), which is positioned like a stage in the hangar deck. They are all wearing U.S. Navy dungaree work uniforms and have light skin. There is a crew member standing in front of the band conducting, them and the band members are seated behind music stands with a Navy emblem on them. The instruments being played are mainly wind instruments. There is another microphone on the stage.
