DescriptionPillowcase; Square silk pillowcase cover with yellow corded fringe attached around the outer edges. A line of blue thread is woven through the top hem of the fringe. The front panel is cream with decorative naval images throughout. The center has a poem in blue text that reads "Sweetheart // I thought that you would like to know // that someone's thoughts go where you go // that someone never can forget // the hours we spent since first we met // that life is richer, sweeter far // for such a sweetheart as you are // and now my constant prayer will be // that God may keep you safe for me".

An image of twisted rope encircles the poem twice to make an inner and outer oval shape. On either side, in between the ropes, are pictures of pink flowers in bloom with green leaves. Below the rope is a thin unfurled banner with blue text that reads " Our Navy // America's Guardians" with stars between the words "our navy". At the top center of the cover above the rope there is an image of an eagle with outstretched wings, grasping a shield in its talons. The shield has thirteen white stars on a blue background at the top, and thirteen vertical red and white stripes below. Images of naval ships at sea are depicted in the top corners and along the bottom of the pillowcase. The ships are gray, with light and dark blue water surrounding and pink and yellow streaks in the sky. The ship depicted in the top right corner is an aircraft carrier.

The back of the pillowcase is solid green silk.
