DescriptionJacket; USS Intrepid blue and gold varsity jacket with flap collar. The blue jacket has a front zipper closure. There are two exterior front pockets at the waist with gold stripes at each opening. The blue fabric cuffs and waistband each have two horizontal gold stripes. The gold collar backflap has blue piping around the outer edge with "USS // Intrepid" sewn in blue fabric lettering at the center back. The interior has a beige cotton liner. There is a white fabric label on the interior back collar. Text sewn in blue and red thread on the label at right reads "Universal Sports // Corporation // 4 East 39th St. // New York 16. N.Y." The outline of a baseball is sewn into the label at left in red thread. Text is sewn onto the ball in blue thread that reads "Durable // Unisport // Quality". There is a second white fabric label sewn into the interior collar. Text sewn on it in green thread reads "Tackle Twill // T.M. Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. // Water Repellent // Rayon and Cotton // Fabric By // Skinner". Embroidered in green thread at right on the label is the outlined image of two male figures engaged in a wrestling match.On View
