Phillip J. Mall

BiographyPhillip J. Mall served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 until 1988. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) as an A-4B pilot with squadron VSF-3 in 1967, during the ship's second tour of duty in the Vietnam War. After his time on Intrepid, he was transferred to the Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant, Bethpage, New York. Mall was a lieutenant junior grade during his time on board Intrepid. He retired from the Navy as a captain. After leaving the Navy, Mall worked as a hospital administrator and consultant. The Museum interviewed him for the oral history collection (OHP 196).
