DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal image of photographer's mate Robert Salmanowitz testing a camera inside the photo lab. He is standing against a work bench and pointing the camera at shelves above the bench. A packet of flashbulbs are on the table. The camera, which appears to be a Speed Graphic, has a flash on it. Salmanowitz is wearing a dark jacket and baseball cap. He has dark hair and light skin. There is a doorway on the left. A blurry sign over the door reads, “Restricted Area // No one allowed beyond // this frame”. There is a white border around the image. The image is the same as P2016.43.247.
