DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal image of a double exposure of two girls. The children are standing in front of an open food cupboard containing cereals like “Kellogg // Raisin // Bran” and “Post // Grape // Nuts." The girl on the left has a striped dress. The brunette girl on the right is wearing a white shirt, floral skirt, and a headband. The girls appear to have light or medium skin tone. There is a white border around the photograph and the right and left edges are scalloped. The right edge has two pieces missing near the top of the border. The back has “The last picture with the camera.” written in pencil and “901623 Polaroid”, “47”, and “1” stamped in black. Description from accompanying letter dated October 12, 1957 reads “The picture of the 2 8-year-old girls was taken in the door of my apartment just as they are leaving. I had told them that I was going to take their picture and they secretly they thought, made plans to make a face when I took the picture. I took the picture purposely before the girl on the right could do this and she got angry with me because of this. We’re friends again though.”
