DescriptionHatband; U.S. Navy WAVES service cap band. The band is navy blue with a rounded tab extending from the front. A U.S. Navy officer hat device or insignia is in the center of the tab. The insignia is stitched onto the band with embroidered metal-coated thread. The insignia depicts an eagle holding a striped shield imposed over two crossed fouled anchors. There is a piece of fabric folded over the back of the band with crimped diagonal ends. A snap at the center back to attached the band to a cap.
