DescriptionPatch, Military; Oblong patch associated with all-weather attack squadron VA(AW)-33 detachment 11. The patch has a red border with six stars spelling "VAAW 33" above center image and "DET. 33" below. Both phrases are on arched yellow backgrounds. In the center are three queen cards: queen of diamonds, hearts and clubs. The face of the top card has a yellow lightning bolt diagoally down the center. The lower section has a bluew background with egale head and the upper ection has a red background with black knight chess piece (horse's head). Below the cards are three yellow lightning bolts shooting toward a gray globe. The image background is dark blue. "USS Intrepid CVA 11 // Med. Cruise 1959" is spelled vertically on either side of the center image. The borders and stars have metallic embroidery. The patch has a gray backing.On View
