Anderson Papers includes service papers, ship printed materials and other items from Anderson's service as an officer on board USS Intrepid during World War II. The ship printed materials include issues of the ship's newspaper, rosters of officers on board, news releases and memoranda. Service records include a letter from James Forrestal and other naval training booklets. The collection also includes an Intrepid binder, newspaper clippings and a letter from a former crewmember.

That's // My Name", while the other is in the back of the jeep. The envelope is addressed to "Mrs. R.V. Anderson // 34 W. Villa Place // Ft. Thomas, Kentucky." The back has a return address of "Lt (jg) R.V. Anderson // COMM. Office N.A.S. // San Diego, Calif."
