DescriptionMedal; Three service medals on a ribbon bar (from left to right): National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze service star (campaign star), and Vietnam Campaign Medal with a 1960– silver ribbon device. The back has two butterfly clutch pin backings.National Defense Service Medal has red ribbon with white, black and yellow stripe in center. Bronze medal has image of eagle in center holding an olive branch with text above that reads “National Defense” above.
Vietnam Service Medal has green, yellow and red striped ribbon with a small bronze star in center. Bronze medal has image of dragon behind bamboo and text below that reads “Republic of Vietnam Service.”
Vietnam Campaign Medal has green and white striped ribbon with silver banner with “1960.” Six-pointed star has white enamel points with six gold striped points in between. Center is colored yellow with red and gold image of Vietnam.
