DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Official horizontal image of two men sitting at a desk on USS Intrepid. Both have light skin and dark hair, and are clean-shaven. The man at right, Commander Michael V. Martini, is wearing a U.S. Navy officer’s uniform, and is partially turning to look at the other man. His hair is a mix of dark and gray. The man at left is Retired Admiral Joe Isenhower (possibly a misspelling of Joseph Icenhower). He is wearing a dark suit jacket and dark tie over a white button-down shirt, is holding a telephone receiver to his ear while looking above and right of the camera’s viewpoint. He has dark hair. A typed list, a stack of photographs and a pack of cigarettes are visible on the desk in front of the two men. Filing cabinets, papers attached to the wall, and two crew members with light skin and dark hair are visible in the background of the image. There is a white border around the image.A horizontal strip of paper is taped to the bottom part of the image with the caption “Admiral Joe Isenhower (USN, Ret) visits Intrepid” printed in black ink.
