DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Vertical image of a light-skinned woman sitting in a chair holding a doll. The woman is wearing a dark dress, necklace, and pumps. She is sitting in a rounded chair and looking over her shoulder towards the right. A table is on the left and a large painting is over it. There is an open door on the right and a man in a suit is on the right edge of the photograph. A table is in the foreground in the lower right. There is a white border around the image and the top and bottom borders are scalloped. The back has “31 Dec 1961 // Miss Margaret Oakes // Stuttgart, German” written in black and “H176111 Polaroid”, “47”, and “2” stamped in black and blue.Description from accompanying letter dated January 6, 1962 reads “His daughter Sue is married to LCDR Jim Keith, Aircraft Handling Officer on board Intrepid. They both asked me to stop by and visit Sue’s sister Margaret if I had time while in Stuttgart. I had time and was very much impressed with her.”
