DescriptionUniform, Military; U.S. Navy dress blue jumper with off-white piping along the collar, flap and cuffs. There is a white star at either corner of the collar flap. There is a rectangular Gun Pointer distinguishing mark patch on the proper left shoulder showing a star above a gun sight embroidered in white thread. There are two ribbon bar pins on the proper left chest. The top ribbon is the Good Conduct Medal. The bottom ribbon bar (proper right to left) includes ribbons for the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. There is a diamond shaped Honorable Service patch on the proper right chest. Commonly called the Ruptured Duck, the patch depicts an encircled eagle with extended wings in gold thread. There is a boatswain's mate third class (BM3) rating badge patch on the proper right arm. The patch is pentagon shaped, with the base at the top and vertex pointed down. From top to bottom the patch depicts a white eagle with outstretched wings, two crossed anchors, and one red chevron. There is one pocket on the exterior, proper right, chest and one pocket on the interior, proper left, chest. The cuffs each have two black buttons, imprinted with an anchor, and two button holes. There is a label attached to the exterior back, centered below the collar flap. It has a tan image of an anchor at either top corner. The label reads “Manufactured by // Naval Clothing Factory // Name ___ // Rate ___ “ with “JAR” handwritten on the label. On the interior back hem there is a white stencil that reads “Aronson, J.”
