DescriptionPhotograph, Black and white; Horizontal image of a plume of smoke engulfing a Douglas AD-6 Skyraider from Attack Squadron 25 (VA-25) after an auxiliary fuel tank fell off the airplane onto the flight deck. The Skyraider's tailhook is still attached to the arresting wire. The optical landing system (OLS) is visible behind the plane. A vertical stabilizer from another airplane is visible at the bottom center of the image. The photograph was taken from the island.
